Water the Seeds and not the Weeds

As I sit back and have time to reflect over past obstactles I've overcome, and how, and why they even happen, I'm confinced that 90% of how we react to the action, is vitale to the outcome, we will endure either immediatly or over a period time. Ever hear the saying, ' When it rains it pours'? Well that is true, but sometimes we wonder when the rain will stop. Or should it stop? I myself like sunnier days then rainy days. But does that always make us grow, develope our character, and who we really are, or made to be, for that fact. So as I reflect back on times that were so tough, when you think you can't take another breath or step, and pain, tears, sorrow, seem to creap in and consume your life, and if your like me, sometimes we mull it over and over in our minds, only creating more distress, more discouragement, and setup to possible failure. On these rainy days, I've learned, and am still learning, that the sunshine is brighter than we give credit. It's warmer than we think, if we only learn how to embrace the rain, and not run, from the storms we come face to face with. How much would and could we grow to help others. Not to mention ourselves with growth.

Water the Seeds and not the Weeds

I've learned over the years that when you analize your life, or parts of your life in the present time, and look at and zero in on the things that might be dragging you down, not so healthy for you, or why my life was'nt moving in a way I thought it should, or why " Do they have it ", and I don't attitude. Sometimes looking at weeds in our lives can hurt, can be very difficult to pluck out, and more times than not when them weeds return we wonder why. We say, I got rid of that guy, or I havent drank in months, one won't hurt. So when we return to them weeds or they reenter our lives and we wonder why, most times it's not the thing that enters our lives that can be toxic, it's the inner behavior of ourselves that we often don't pull the roots out we just kinda mow over the top, and wonder why when things blow up, or get cluttered and don't work or run smoothly, we don't understand, and most often we know what we have to do, but want to keep ' Sugar coating ", cause we are afriad of change. This picture I took when I flew to Ga, to see my first grandson enter this big world. It reminds me of how freeing it can be when we pull the weeds from the roots, and plant new seed, healthy seed, and how beautiful it can be.

Water the Seeds and not the Weeds

Have you ever had days that everything around you seems cluttered? How about things inside you, cluttered? Life can have so many twists and turns, and we sometimes tend to grab onto things that at the time we feel , " This is what I need", only to find out that later down the road it " Clutterd ", space in your surroundings, inside and out.
Boy I know I sure can relate to that. Actually, when I really give it honest thought, we as little ' curiouse creatures ', tend to think we need this pair of shoes, or maybe your a nic-nac person, shelves full of frogs, or tea-cups, or how about the grandma with all the silver spoons. Now I'm not saying all this is bad but what I am getting at is stuff that we " STUFF ", in our lives can clutter our hearts and minds, and actually kinda bind us up. We get so hurried in everyday events, getting the kids off to school, meetings, working overtime, makeing sure the house is clean, the lawn is mowed, talking about other peoples buisness, that is not even our buisness, and getting the dog his bone. By the end of our day we are totally wiped out, mind tired, body acheing, feet hurting, and soul starving. Why is it that we can put so much energy into all this, and forget to say a simple " Thank-you ", to the one whao created everything, who made us in his own image, and who died for us so we could live. That one person is Our Father in Heaven, Who is Jesus Christ. We tend to water all the earthly things and stuff around us, and we wonder why things are the way they are in our lives. I did this very thing and still do, but what thing I have learned, and know in my very heart, that when I put the Lord first in my every day that he gives me, and I lean on him, and walk in his commandment which is Love. He commands us to walk in Love. What happens whe we walk in love. Love returns to us, does;nt it. maybe not always, but most of the time. Did you know that walking in love covers many sins. Think about that, when you walk in love, you don't sin. Cause love and goodness, is the opposite of what? Hurting others, wanting revenge, hate, all malice and evil. That really makes sense when it soakes in. Well I best log off now but come back tommorrow for some more of " Water the seeds and not the weeds".
